Nelson Mullins is proud to announce Columbia partner, David Dukes, along with his wife, Karen Royster Dukes, have pledged $500,000 to endow the David E. Dukes ’81 Family Distinguished Professorship in Economics at Clemson University. This generous contribution, matched through the "Power of ONE" Challenge initiated by Mark and Janet Mitchell, culminates in a $1 million endowment to bolster faculty excellence within the John E. Walker Department of Economics.
Dukes, a Clemson alumnus and member of the University's Board of Trustees, has consistently demonstrated leadership both within the firm and the broader community. He served as managing partner of the firm for more than 10 years and on the firm’s Executive Committee for 27 years. Dukes practices in the areas of business litigation, technology litigation, pharmaceutical litigation, securities litigation, sports law, and coordination of national litigation. He has served as president of two national lawyer organizations.
