Rashaad Green and Shaquille Barber have been sentenced to federal prison for their roles in drug trafficking, money laundering, and firearms offenses. Green, 31, from Union, received a 15-year sentence while Barber, 30, from Moore, was sentenced to seven years.

According to evidence gathered during the investigation, between 2020 and 2024, Green and Barber frequently traveled to California and other western states to acquire marijuana for distribution in South Carolina. They conducted financial transactions using cash obtained from drug sales. Their financial records indicated substantial sums of money passing through their accounts. Additionally, they were found with firearms linked to their marijuana trafficking activities.

U.S. District Judge Donald C. Coggins imposed a 180-month imprisonment on Green followed by five years of court-ordered supervision. The court also ordered the forfeiture of jewelry, firearms, cash, and issued a $500,000 forfeiture judgment against him.

Barber received an 84-month imprisonment sentence along with five years of supervised release after serving his term. The court ordered the forfeiture of jewelry including a Rolex watch, a 2019 Audi Q8 vehicle, a firearm, cash and imposed a $250,000 forfeiture judgment against him.

The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration in collaboration with the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office and Union County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Carrie Fisher Sherard is leading the prosecution.
