A Missouri woman has admitted guilt in a scheme to defraud the family of Elvis Presley, according to an announcement from officials. Lisa Jeanine Findley, 53, from Kimberling City, pleaded guilty in the Western District of Tennessee for her involvement in a fraudulent plan that aimed to deceive the Presley family out of millions and seize their ownership interest in Graceland, the former residence of Elvis Presley located in Memphis.

Court documents reveal that Findley orchestrated a complex fraud involving a fake company, forged documents, and false court filings. She falsely claimed that Elvis Presley's daughter had used Graceland as collateral for an unpaid loan before her death. Findley threatened foreclosure on Graceland and proposed auctioning it unless the Presley family settled or paid off the alleged claim against the estate.

Findley faces one count of mail fraud and is scheduled for sentencing on June 18. She could receive up to 20 years in prison. The sentence will be determined by a federal district court judge who will consider U.S. Sentencing Guidelines along with other statutory factors.

The announcement was made by Supervisory Official Antoinette T. Bacon of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, Acting U.S. Attorney Reagan Taylor Fondren for the Western District of Tennessee, Inspector in Charge Eric Shen of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) Criminal Investigations Group, and Special Agent in Charge Joseph E. Carrico of the FBI Nashville Field Office.

The case is being investigated by both USPIS and FBI Nashville Field Office. Prosecutors include Trial Attorney Aaron Henricks from the Criminal Division’s Fraud Section and Assistant U.S. Attorney Carroll L. André III for the Western District of Tennessee. Fraud Section Assistant Chief Cory E. Jacobs and Trial Attorney Christopher Fenton have also provided significant assistance with this investigation and prosecution.
