Ashley Bryanne Rockwell, a resident of Coweta, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to three years of probation for making false statements. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced the sentencing.
The case against Rockwell stemmed from an investigation conducted by the United States Marshal Service and the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office. On October 2, 2024, a federal jury found Rockwell guilty of knowingly and willfully providing false information to a Deputy U.S. Marshal about a material fact.
Investigators revealed that on August 18, 2023, during questioning related to an active investigation, Rockwell denied traveling out of state with a registered sex offender wanted for failing to comply as such. Contrary to her statement, it was discovered that she had traveled with the individual to multiple states including Colorado and Oregon.
Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the hearing at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Joshua Satter and Dak T. Cohen represented the prosecution in this case.
