Timothy M. O’Shea United States Attorney | U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin

Bee Her, a 45-year-old resident of Wausau, Wisconsin, has been sentenced to eight years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine. The sentencing was delivered by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley and will be followed by five years of supervised release. Her had previously pleaded guilty to the charge on November 26, 2024.

The Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force identified Her as a significant methamphetamine dealer in Wausau during their investigations in 2023. On October 13 and October 23 of that year, confidential informants purchased methamphetamine from Her at his residence.

Her was arrested on February 8, 2024, on an active supervision warrant. Information from the investigation indicated that he was involved with cartels attempting to establish drug trafficking operations near Wausau. Her reportedly told investigators he received five pounds of methamphetamine every two to three weeks for distribution.

At the time of these activities, Her was under state supervision for two felony cases: one involving child enticement and another involving possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. His supervision related to the child sex crime remained intact, while his supervision for the drug case was revoked, resulting in a one-year jail sentence.

During sentencing, Judge Conley noted Her's role as a large-scale trafficker with connections extending to Minnesota and Mexico and considered both the severity of his actions and his addiction issues.

The investigation leading to Her's conviction was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force. This task force includes members from several law enforcement agencies such as the FBI, Wisconsin State Patrol, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Marathon County Sheriff's Office, among others. Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven P. Anderson prosecuted the case.
