A Blair County jury has convicted Don Robison, a 43-year-old man from California, of felony sexual assault involving a 14-year-old girl in Pennsylvania. The conviction includes three counts of unlawful contact with a minor, two counts of indecent assault of a child, corruption of minors, and criminal use of a communication facility. Sentencing is scheduled for May 11.

The investigation revealed that Robison posed online as a 13-year-old to befriend the victim. He traveled to Altoona, Pennsylvania, where he sexually assaulted her after gaining her trust. Attorney General Dave Sunday commented on the case: “This predator deceived and manipulated the victim, traveling across the country to carry out unspeakable crimes.” He expressed hope that the verdict would serve as a warning against crimes targeting children in Pennsylvania.

Robison was already listed as a registered sex offender in California when he committed these offenses. In Altoona, he persuaded the child to disable her home’s security systems to allow him entry.

The prosecution team included Deputy Attorney General Kimberly Moraski and Deputy Attorney General Jacob Jividen.
