Eddie Damian-Guillen, a 38-year-old Guatemalan national, has been sentenced to 23 months in prison for illegal reentry into the United States. The sentencing took place on February 13, 2025, under United States District Court Judge Malachy E. Mannion.

Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus reported that Damian-Guillen was discovered at Pike County Correctional Facility in Pennsylvania after being arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. He had previously been removed from the United States in 2003, 2004, and most recently in 2020. His last removal followed a conviction for first-degree assault in Connecticut, where he ran over a victim with his car after a bar fight.

Following the completion of his sentence, Damian-Guillen will be deported from the United States once again.

The investigation was conducted by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kyle A. Moreno handled the prosecution of this case.
