A former teacher from Springville, New York, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison following a conviction for receipt of child pornography. Frank E. Noeson III, aged 47 and a resident of Holland, NY, received the sentence from U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo. In addition to the prison term, Noeson will be subject to 30 years of supervised release.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango explained that Noeson was a fifth-grade teacher at a local elementary school when he engaged in inappropriate communications with minors via Snapchat. One victim was 16 years old when the communication began; during this time, Noeson persuaded her to create and send sexually explicit images and videos. Another victim, aged 15, also sent numerous images and videos of child pornography to him through Snapchat.

The investigation leading to Noeson's sentencing was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Buffalo Office Child Exploitation Human Trafficking Task Force under Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Miraglia's direction. The FBI Miami Field Office and the Tonawanda Police Department, led by Chief James Stauffiger, were also involved in the case.
