Alesha Rasmussen, a 34-year-old resident of Fort Dodge, Iowa, has entered a guilty plea in federal court in Sioux City for charges related to the distribution of methamphetamine. The plea was made on February 10, 2025.

During the hearing, Rasmussen confessed to distributing over 28 grams of pure methamphetamine on July 10, 2024. The transaction involved an individual cooperating with law enforcement authorities. This is not Rasmussen's first offense; she was previously convicted in 2011 for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa.

Rasmussen is currently held by the United States Marshal as she awaits sentencing. Her sentencing will be determined by United States District Court Judge Leonard T. Strand after a presentence report is completed. She could face up to 30 years in prison, a fine of $2 million, and at least six years of supervised release following any imprisonment.
