Nelson Mullins partner Andrew Heath was recently appointed to the University of North Carolina Asheville Board of Trustees. His appointment comes after a unanimous vote by the Board of Governors on Jan. 30. Heath will fill a vacant seat for a term through June 30, 2027.
It’s a distinguished leadership role for the ’03 UNC Asheville alumnus who previously served on the UNC Asheville Alumni Association Board of Directors. Based in Raleigh, NC, Heath is part of the firm’s Government Relations practice group. He is a former judge and top advisor to the North Carolina Governor and the Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court who served for more than a decade at some of the highest levels of state government.

According to the university, the UNC Asheville Board of Trustees is comprised of 13 trustees with eight trustees appointed by the UNC Board of Governors, and four appointed by the Speaker and President Pro Tem.
