U.S. District Judge John W. deGravelles has sentenced Bobby Glenn Wall, Jr., 46, from Parchman, Mississippi, to 192 months in federal prison for the distribution and receipt of child pornography. Upon completion of his prison term, Wall Jr. will serve fifteen years of supervised release and must register as a sex offender.

Wall Jr.'s conviction stems from an incident on December 14, 2021, when he used Facebook Messenger on a cell phone at Wilkinson County Jail in Mississippi to transmit five images of child pornography to his father, Bobby Glenn Wall, in Denham Springs, Louisiana. The images depicted prepubescent females. Wall Jr. had access to at least 100 such images and sent five to his father's Facebook Messenger account.

Bobby Glenn Wall, 68, from Denham Springs, Louisiana, was also sentenced by Judge deGravelles to 160 months in federal prison for the same charges related to the distribution and receipt of child pornography. He will serve five years of supervised release after his imprisonment and is required to register as a sex offender.

As part of his guilty plea admissions, Wall Sr. acknowledged receiving five images of child pornography via Facebook Messenger from his son. After encouraging his son with the words "to keep them coming," he received an additional 15 images depicting explicit acts.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security - Homeland Security Investigations and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul L. Pugliese.
