A former Army private has been sentenced to 22 years in federal prison for child sexual exploitation crimes involving minors he met on Snapchat. Parker William White, 24, from Johnsonville, New York, was sentenced by United States District Judge André Birotte Jr. A restitution hearing is scheduled for May 2. Upon release, White will be under lifetime supervised release. He has been in custody since February 2023.
In August 2024, a jury found White guilty of one count of production of child pornography, three counts of receipt of child pornography, and one count of possession of child pornography. The case began when the Department of Children and Families in Bay County, Florida received a tip about White's online activities with a 14-year-old girl in January 2022. Investigators later discovered child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on his iPhone and Snapchat.
Court documents revealed that White used social media platforms like Instagram and Snapchat to find minor "girlfriends," some as young as 13. He groomed them by boasting about his military service and using deceptive tactics to gain their trust before escalating interactions to include sending sexually explicit content.
The investigation was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations, the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division, and the Bay County Sheriff’s Office. The prosecution was handled by Assistant United States Attorneys Lyndsi C. Allsop and Laura A. Alexander.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
