The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has announced the indictment of two Baltimore men, Dominic Wise and Darius Gissentaner, both aged 33. The federal grand jury indicted them on February 5, 2025, for firearms charges.
Acting U.S. Attorney John Gurganus stated that the indictment alleges that on July 8, 2024, in York County, Pennsylvania, Wise possessed a Glock 9mm pistol while Gissentaner had a 9mm SCCY pistol. Both were felons prohibited from possessing firearms. Additionally, it is alleged that the serial number on the pistol possessed by Gissentaner was obliterated.
The investigation was conducted by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with the Pennsylvania State Police. Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Monroe is leading the prosecution.
The charge of felon in possession carries a maximum penalty of up to 15 years imprisonment, three years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. The possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number carries a potential sentence of up to five years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.
It is important to note that indictments are merely allegations and all individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
