Students from Dakota Prairie High School had the opportunity to visit the North Dakota Supreme Court on Tuesday, February 4th. During their visit, Justice Lisa McEvers addressed questions from the group of 36 students and two teachers. The discussions covered various aspects of the judicial branch in state government, including how justices are elected to the state supreme court, the workload of the supreme court, and how it interacts with the state legislature.
In addition to Justice McEvers' insights, Law Clerk Jack Blotsky provided an explanation about the role of law clerks and their support for justices. This educational visit is part of a larger initiative by the supreme court, which hosts several schools each year to engage with hundreds of students and teachers.
