Judicial Referee Daniel Gast has been awarded the Child Welfare Law Specialist (CWLS) credential, recognizing his dedication to child welfare in North Dakota. The National Association of Counsel for Children (NACC) grants this certification to a select group of attorneys nationwide, acknowledging their expertise and commitment to justice for children.
"For years, I have worked to protect children and families, ensuring that every child has a voice in the legal system," said Gast. "Becoming a Child Welfare Law Specialist is not just a professional milestone—it reaffirms my commitment to making a lasting impact in juvenile law."
Gast serves as a judicial referee in North Dakota's juvenile court. His advocacy for children's rights and involvement with organizations like Families Flourish and the Alliance for Children’s Justice Task Force highlight his leadership in the field.
This achievement underscores Gast's role as an advocate for child welfare, ensuring legal proceedings involving children are handled with care and expertise.
The CWLS credential requires attorneys to meet high standards, complete specialized training, and pass an exam. Judge Connie Cleveland joins Gast in celebrating this achievement. As the only other CWLS-certified attorney in North Dakota, Cleveland welcomes Gast as a fellow advocate for children's rights.
