A Missouri man, JoeMarius Green, has pleaded guilty to transporting a minor across state lines for prostitution. The 24-year-old admitted his actions in the U.S. District Court in St. Louis on Tuesday. His co-defendant, Chantel Robinson, aged 20, had previously pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography in November.
According to Green's plea, he transported a female minor and others from Dallas to Kansas City on February 12, 2023, for prostitution during the Super Bowl. After four days, he moved them to a hotel in the St. Louis area with the same intent. He confessed to managing online ads for prostitution, renting hotel rooms, setting prices for sex acts, and collecting cash proceeds from these activities.
Robinson acknowledged her involvement by engaging in commercial sex acts and taking explicit photos of minors for online advertisements. She also supervised the minors' activities when Green was unavailable.
Green is set to be sentenced on June 25 and faces a penalty ranging from 10 years to life imprisonment. Robinson will be sentenced on April 8 and could face up to 20 years in prison.
The investigation was conducted by the St. Louis County Police Department and the FBI, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Dianna Edwards prosecuting the case.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse nationwide.
