A man from Las Vegas has been sentenced to over 21 years in federal prison for soliciting sexually explicit photos from an eight-year-old girl online. The sentencing was announced by Acting U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Chad Meacham.
Geovanny Davila Cisneros, aged 24, was indicted in January 2024 and pleaded guilty in April 2024 to the charge of enticement of a child. On Friday, U.S. District Judge Reed C. O’Connor sentenced him to 262 months in federal prison, followed by 25 years of supervised release. Cisneros will also be required to register as a sex offender.
In plea documents, Cisneros admitted to using text messaging and social media platforms to communicate with the young girl. He reportedly complimented her on her appearance and requested sexually explicit images.
The investigation was carried out by the U.S. Secret Service’s Dallas Field Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Special Investigations Unit, with assistance from the Secret Service’s Las Vegas Field Office and the Las Vegas Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Aisha Saleem.
