Attorney General Kris Mayes has reached out to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, advocating for the continuation of essential payments to the Isaac School District. This request comes in light of the recent appointment of a receiver tasked with addressing the district's financial difficulties.

In her communication, Mayes emphasized the necessity of sustaining teacher salaries and student transportation services during this period. "The Isaac School District serves over five thousand students and their families, and an abrupt halt to these payments would invite disaster," she stated. She further noted, "The far more prudent course is for the county to continue paying Isaac School District's critical expenditures, at least for the immediate future while school is in session, now that the receiver has been appointed and is developing financial solutions."

Mayes' letter aims to ensure that the district can maintain its operations smoothly as efforts are made to resolve its fiscal issues.
