The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has announced the indictment of Kyle Grey, a 35-year-old resident of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. Grey was indicted on January 23, 2025, facing four charges related to the production of child pornography.

Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus stated that the indictment accuses Grey of producing child pornography on three occasions around October 9, 2024, and once more on October 29, 2024.

The investigation was carried out by the Pennsylvania State Police in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Alisan V. Martin is leading the prosecution.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice aimed at tackling child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project brings together resources from federal, state, and local levels to pursue those who exploit children and to help victims. Further details about Project Safe Childhood can be found at www.usdoj.gov/psc.

Under federal law, each offense carries a maximum penalty of up to 30 years imprisonment. There is also a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years’ imprisonment, followed by supervised release and potential fines. Sentences are determined by a judge based on federal sentencing statutes and guidelines.

It is important to note that indictments are merely allegations. Individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
