A registered sex offender, Corey Bouchard, 34, from Douglas, has pleaded guilty in federal court in Worcester to charges related to child pornography. U.S. District Court Judge Margaret R. Guzman has set the sentencing for May 7, 2025. Bouchard was initially charged by complaint in April 2024.

In November 2023, a search of Bouchard's residence revealed a cache file on his cell phone containing approximately 72 videos depicting child pornography. Of these, around 56 video file names matched those shared in Kik messenger group chats that Bouchard participated in. He admitted to accessing child pornography with the intent to view it.

Bouchard has a previous state conviction for possession of child pornography and is registered as a sex offender. The charge he faces could result in a sentence ranging from a minimum of 10 years to up to 20 years in prison, followed by supervised release for at least five years and potentially for life. Additional penalties include fines up to $250,000 and various assessments totaling up to $22,100.

The announcement was made by United States Attorney Leah B. Foley; Michael J. Krol, Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations in New England; and Colonel Geoffrey D. Noble, Superintendent of the Massachusetts State Police. Assistance was provided by the Uxbridge and Douglas Police Departments. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kaitlin J. Brown is prosecuting the case.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse nationwide.
