Pennington County Treatment Courts will host two graduation ceremonies on January 29, 2025. The events will take place in the Commission Chambers of the Pennington County Administration Building in Rapid City and are open to the public, media, and cameras. For those unable to attend in person, the ceremonies will be streamed live online.

The Pennington County DUI Court was founded in 2013 as an alternative to incarceration for individuals with substance use and mental health disorders who are at high risk of reoffending. The program provides intensive supervision, treatment, support services, and community resources aimed at improving participants' wellbeing.

Similarly, the Pennington County Drug Court was established in 2016 to rehabilitate individuals significantly affected by substance use or mental health disorders. This court employs a public health approach to justice reform by collaborating with various stakeholders to offer personalized treatment and recovery services.
