Tairon Jordan Bradley, a 25-year-old resident of Huntington, West Virginia, has entered a guilty plea to the charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The plea was made today following an incident on November 7, 2023.
Court documents and statements reveal that Bradley was involved in a traffic stop conducted by law enforcement in Kenova. During the stop, Bradley fled the scene in his vehicle, leading officers on a pursuit onto Interstate 64. He collided with another vehicle upon entering Cabell County. His vehicle eventually stopped on I-64, after which he attempted to escape on foot into nearby woods where he was apprehended. Officers discovered a loaded Weihrauch Hermann Model EA/R .38 Special/.357 magnum revolver inside his vehicle.
Federal regulations prohibit individuals with prior felony convictions from possessing firearms or ammunition. Bradley acknowledged his awareness of this prohibition due to previous felony convictions for first-degree robbery and conspiracy dated January 17, 2019, in Cabell County Circuit Court.
Bradley's sentencing is scheduled for May 12, 2025. He faces up to 15 years imprisonment, three years of supervised release, and fines amounting to $250,000.
