Thompson Coburn announced today that Fran M. Skoller has joined the firm in New York as part of its Banking and Commercial Finance practice group, bringing extensive experience representing borrowers and lenders in a wide range of complex financial transactions.
Skoller is a valued counselor to clients in the financial sector, with extensive experience in commercial lending and loan workouts, including DIP financings. Her prior work includes representing fintech and other specialty finance companies in negotiating and documenting debt financing from alternative credit funds and in developing policies, procedures and program documents to set them up for success. Earlier in her career, she was an attorney at Hahn & Hessen, which combined with Thompson Coburn in 2021 to launch its New York office.
“Fran is an excellent addition to our Banking and Commercial Finance team here in New York. Her experience and command of the complex dynamics of the financial services industry will help us maintain our competitive edge in the sector,” said Mark Indelicato, managing partner of Thompson Coburn’s New York office. “The chance for those of us from our legacy firm Hahn & Hessen to work with her again is a great opportunity, and it’s a testament to the strength and lasting connections of that team.”
Skoller also advises companies at all stages of their lifecycle, offering counsel on entity formation, client contracts, and serving as de facto general counsel to support their broader business objectives.
“I’m thrilled to join Thompson Coburn, and my old Hahn & Hessen colleagues, especially as the firm continues to write its growth story in New York and nationally,” Skoller said.
In addition to her time at Hahn & Hessen, Skoller has worked at several law firms including Lowenstein Sandler LLP most recently. She earned her J.D. degree from the Fordham University School of Law, cum laude, where she was a member of the Fordham Law Review. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany.
