The North Dakota Juvenile Court is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Juvenile Court Supervisor in Mandan, ND. The role offers an annual salary of $84,180 and requires full-time commitment with 25% travel across the South Central and Southwest Districts.

The successful candidate will report to the Director of Juvenile Court Services and oversee various personnel including Juvenile Court Officers, Administrative Assistants, Case Aides, Drug Court Coordinators, and Youth Coordinators. The position involves advanced investigative work and supervisory duties within the juvenile court system.

Key responsibilities include supervising court staff, conducting informal adjustments, preparing temporary custody orders, and authorizing detention or release of juveniles. This role also involves significant program administration and project management duties.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree with five years of related experience or equivalent education and training that demonstrate capability in fulfilling job responsibilities. A valid driver's license or equivalent mobility evidence is required.

Applicants should have considerable knowledge in juvenile probation principles, child protection issues, local ordinances affecting children, court procedures, as well as individual and group behavior dynamics. Proficiency in word processing and specialized court/case management software is necessary.

Skills needed include technical direction over personnel, collaborative agency work within community settings, case plan implementation, decision-making on case dispositions, counseling abilities, communication skills for public presentations, compliance monitoring with families and children involved in cases.

Physical requirements for this position involve light exertion such as sitting or standing for extended periods. Work is primarily office-based but includes exposure to biological hazards during drug testing processes. Travel flexibility is required due to weather conditions.
