A group of female state attorneys general and senior legal officials have voiced their support for Pam Bondi's nomination as the next United States Attorney General. They sent a letter to Senate leaders, urging swift confirmation of Bondi’s nomination.
Attorney General Marshall expressed confidence in Bondi's capabilities, stating, “Pam Bondi is an excellent selection for U.S. Attorney General. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated her commitment to the rule of law and the impartial, equal application of it.” He added that Alabama would benefit from her leadership at the Department of Justice.
The letter highlights concerns over policies from the outgoing administration that prioritized gender ideology over women's needs. These policies reportedly undermined protections for women and girls in areas such as incarceration and human trafficking prevention.
Chief Counsel Katherine Robertson commented on this issue, saying, “Our country is ready to turn the page on a dark chapter of the USDOJ, particularly for women and girls.” She emphasized Bondi's qualifications to address these challenges.
Pam Bondi has been recognized for her advocacy work on behalf of crime victims, focusing on issues like human trafficking and domestic violence in Florida.
