A Lynn resident, Sebastien Bejin, also known as "Bash," has admitted guilt in a federal court for his involvement in a major drug trafficking operation on Massachusetts' North Shore. The operation was uncovered following an investigation into an overdose death in Salem in July 2023. In November of the same year, authorities seized millions of doses of fentanyl and methamphetamine from a stash location and clandestine laboratory used by the organization.

Bejin pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possession with intent to distribute. U.S. District Court Judge Patti B. Saris has scheduled his sentencing for May 1, 2025. He was charged alongside Emilio Garcia and Deiby Felix in November 2023, with all three being indicted by a federal grand jury the following month.

The investigation led to significant seizures on November 1, 2023, at four locations frequented by Garcia and Bejin in Lynn. This included nine kilograms of fentanyl-laced pills designed to resemble candy and additional narcotics, firearms, cocaine, and cutting agents like xylazine.

Surveillance revealed that Garcia and Bejin routinely visited the stash site to transport controlled substances for distribution through lower-level dealers. A search at Felix's residence yielded over three kilograms of methamphetamine-pressed pills mixed with fentanyl, along with a firearm and equipment indicative of drug manufacturing activities.

Possession with intent to distribute controlled substances carries potential penalties ranging from ten years to life imprisonment, supervised release for three years, and fines up to $250,000. Sentences are determined based on U.S. Sentencing Guidelines.

The announcement came from United States Attorney Joshua S. Levy; Jodi Cohen of the FBI Boston; Colonel Geoffrey D. Noble of the Massachusetts State Police; and Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker. Support was provided by local police departments and the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Philip A. Mallard is handling prosecution efforts.

The allegations remain until proven beyond reasonable doubt as per legal standards.
