A Littleton resident has admitted guilt in a federal court in Boston for his role in a cocaine and firearms trafficking conspiracy. Alan Robinson, aged 26, confessed to charges including possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, firearms trafficking, and possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. U.S. Senior District Court Judge William G. Young has set the sentencing date for April 15, 2025. Robinson was taken into custody on November 3, 2023.
Robinson was involved in a controlled sale to a cooperating witness, selling four firearms, which included two ghost guns—one being an assault rifle—even though he knew the buyer was prohibited from owning firearms. A subsequent search of Robinson's home led to the discovery of approximately 3.3 kilograms of powdered cocaine and several firearms and accessories, including another ghost gun assault rifle.
The charge of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances carries a potential sentence of up to 20 years imprisonment, three years supervised release, and a fine up to $250,000. Firearms trafficking can result in up to 15 years imprisonment and similar fines and supervised release terms. The charge related to possessing a firearm during drug trafficking mandates at least five years imprisonment with potential life imprisonment and fines as well as up to five years supervised release. Sentencing will be determined by the federal district court judge according to U.S. Sentencing Guidelines.
The announcement was made by United States Attorney Joshua S. Levy; James M. Ferguson, Special Agent in Charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' Boston Division; and Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox. The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department provided significant assistance in this case, which is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Luke A. Goldworm from the Major Crimes Unit.
