Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti released a statement following the decision by the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit to grant a stay in the case Free Speech Coalition, Incorporated, et al. v. Jonathan Thomas Skrmetti. This decision allows the Protect Tennessee Minors Act to remain in effect during ongoing legal proceedings.

Attorney General Skrmetti expressed approval of the court's decision, stating, "We’re glad that the unanimously-passed Protect Tennessee Minors Act remains in effect while this case proceeds." He further emphasized the purpose of the law: "As the Court of Appeals noted, this law seeks to stem the flow of toxic content to kids and keep adult websites adults-only."

The full court decision is available for public reading.
