Attorney General Ashley Moody of Florida has expressed her support for President-Elect Donald Trump's immigration policies, which aim to address issues at the U.S.-Mexico border. Over the past four years, more than 10 million illegal immigrants have reportedly entered the country, a situation Moody attributes to what she describes as a lack of action by the Biden administration. This influx has allegedly allowed transnational criminal organizations to bring significant amounts of illicit substances, such as fentanyl, into the United States.

Moody stated, “The last four years, we have seen the Biden administration ignore the rule of law, destroy any semblance of order at our Southwest border, allow millions of unvetted illegal immigrants into the country and put the safety of Americans at risk." She emphasized her commitment to supporting Trump's plan to reverse these policies and restore order from "DAY ONE."

Throughout Biden's presidency, Attorney General Moody has actively challenged his administration's immigration policies in court. Her efforts include several legal battles aimed at reversing actions she deems unlawful and irresponsible. Among these are cases concerning alleged federal government practices involving criminal illegal aliens and accusations regarding individuals on terrorist watchlists entering the U.S.

In collaboration with 18 other attorneys general from states including Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota and West Virginia., Moody released a joint statement praising Trump's anticipated restoration of border security measures. The statement reads: “As chief law enforcement and chief legal officers in our States...we Republican attorneys general are grateful that President Donald J. Trump will restore the rule of law by securing the border and ending the disastrous Biden Administration policies.”

The coalition also commended Trump's previous term for achieving "record-low illegal immigration" and pledged to collaborate with him in addressing immigration issues moving forward.
