Anthony V. Giambrone, a former teacher from Kenmore, New York, has been sentenced to 60 months in prison for possession of child pornography involving prepubescent minors. The sentencing was announced by U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross and delivered by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.
Giambrone, who previously worked with Erie One BOCES at Maryvale Intermediate School, was found guilty of possessing approximately 1,052 images and 381 videos of child pornography on two laptops in April 2020. He has also been ordered to pay $16,000 in restitution to the victims involved.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango handled the case against Giambrone. The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation under Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Miraglia and the Town of Tonawanda Police Department led by Chief James Stauffiger.
