A Knox County man, previously convicted of a crime against children, was sentenced to over 20 years in prison for distributing and possessing child sexual abuse material. Lee Allen Goudy, 30, from Howard, Ohio, faced sentencing in U.S. District Court after being found guilty of new offenses related to child pornography.

In August 2023, the FBI received information indicating that Goudy, a Tier II registered sex offender, had uploaded child pornography online. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children generated at least four cyber tipline reports concerning Goudy's activities.

The investigation revealed that Goudy distributed child pornography using platforms such as Reddit via Kik messenger and Twitter. Authorities recovered approximately 650 videos and 100 images of child sexual abuse material from his iPhone. His collection included content depicting severe abuse of infants and toddlers.

Goudy's search history on his iPhone included queries like “supervised release monitoring iPhone” and “does federal monitoring work on iPhone.” Another cell phone belonging to Goudy showed searches for violent content involving infants and toddlers and contained 150 images of traded child sexual abuse material on Discord.

Goudy was arrested in September 2023 for violating his federal supervised release warrant. He pleaded guilty in April 2024 to the recent charges related to child pornography. Previously, he was sentenced in April 2018 to 78 months in prison.

Kenneth L. Parker, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, along with Elena Iatarola, Special Agent in Charge at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Cincinnati Division, announced the sentence handed down by U.S. District Judge Michael H. Watson. Assistant United States Attorney Emily Czerniejewski is prosecuting the case.
