Sean Robin Howard, a 22-year-old inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution Hazelton in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, has been sentenced to an additional 36 months in prison. This sentence follows his guilty plea to assault with a dangerous weapon resulting in serious bodily injury.

Court documents reveal that Howard was involved in a verbal altercation with another inmate within a housing unit. During the dispute, Howard stabbed the other inmate in the neck, inflicting a severe wound. The injured inmate received medical treatment at a hospital for his injuries.

Howard's new sentence will be served consecutively to his existing sentence. Assistant U.S. Attorney Brandon Flower prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

The proceedings were overseen by Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh.
