An Arizona man has pleaded guilty in federal court to charges of transporting a woman for illegal sexual activities. The plea follows a 911 call from one of the victims, leading to the man's arrest.
Court documents indicate that on June 17, 2024, law enforcement responded to a distress call from an adult female in Laguna, New Mexico. She reported being trafficked and was found at a gas station along with two other individuals.
The investigation determined that Hakeeme Kaleb Williams, aged 25 from Phoenix, transported several women across state lines for commercial sex acts. Authorities allege he used force and coercion to make the women engage in prostitution and surrender their earnings.
Williams is currently under third-party custody as he awaits sentencing, which has not yet been scheduled. He could face up to ten years in prison followed by up to three years of supervised release upon completion of his sentence.
U.S. Attorney Alexander M.M. Uballez and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office, announced the guilty plea. The case was investigated by the FBI Albuquerque Field Office with help from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office and Laguna Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Timothy Trembley is prosecuting the case.
