Juan K. Simpson, a 30-year-old resident of New Orleans, has been indicted for bank robbery. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans. According to the indictment, Simpson allegedly robbed a Capital One Bank on South Claiborne Avenue in New Orleans on November 25, 2024.
If found guilty, Simpson could face up to twenty years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, and up to three years of supervised release after any prison term. Additionally, he may be required to pay a $100 mandatory special assessment fee.
U.S. Attorney Evans emphasized that an indictment is only a charge and that the defendant's guilt must be established beyond a reasonable doubt.
