A Jamestown man has been sentenced to prison for his involvement in a drug conspiracy, according to an announcement by U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross. Timothy Snyder, 44, was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine and 100 grams or more of heroin. U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara sentenced him to serve 130 months in prison.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti stated that Snyder was associated with Rocco Beardsley's drug trafficking organization as a manager and supervisor. His responsibilities included selling, storing, and packaging drugs; maintaining drug ledgers; collecting money; and coordinating sales of methamphetamine and heroin/fentanyl with co-conspirators.

In May 2019, Snyder and his wife were stopped by the Jamestown Police Department during which $8,400 in cash was recovered from their vehicle as proceeds intended for Beardsley.

Rocco Beardsley has already been convicted and is awaiting sentencing.

This case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation aimed at identifying, disrupting, and dismantling high-level criminal organizations threatening the United States through a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven multi-agency approach.

The investigation leading to Snyder's sentencing involved the Jamestown Police Department under Chief Timothy Jackson's direction, the Drug Enforcement Administration under Special Agent-in-Charge Frank Tarantino III's direction from the New York Field Division, and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office under Sheriff James Quattrone's direction.
