Kendra Richard has been appointed as a Judicial Referee for the South Central Judicial District, with her term beginning on January 2, 2025. She will take over from Jason Hammes, who was elected to District Judgeship #3. Judge Hammes is succeeding Judge Bruce Romanick, who will retire on December 31, 2024, after a 24-year tenure.
