South Central Judicial District Presiding Judge Bruce Romanick is set to retire on December 31, 2024. Having been first elected as a District Court Judge in 2000, Judge Romanick has completed four terms in SCJD Judgeship #3, marking a career that spans over two decades.

A gathering of colleagues, friends, and family took place at the Burleigh County courthouse on December 19, 2024, to honor his service of 24 years on the bench. The event celebrated his long-standing contribution to the judicial system.

Supreme Court Justice Lisa McEvers expressed her congratulations to Judge Romanick for his years of dedication and service. The retirement celebration also provided an opportunity for Judge Romanick to visit with well-wishers who attended the event.
