A Sioux City man, Rodney Lamard Hall, II, has been sentenced to 106 months in federal prison for methamphetamine and firearm-related charges. According to public court documents, Hall, aged 31, was found with pills containing approximately 37 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, and a loaded nine-millimeter pistol equipped with an extended magazine. At the time of this offense, Hall was on probation for a previous incident involving a firearm and marijuana in April 2023.
Following his imprisonment term, Hall will undergo a four-year supervised release period. It is important to note that there is no parole option within the federal system.
United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal from the Southern District of Iowa announced the sentencing. The investigation into Hall's activities was conducted by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office alongside the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
