A Sioux City man, Rodney Lamard Hall II, 31, has been sentenced to 106 months in federal prison. The sentence follows his conviction for possessing a distribution quantity of methamphetamine and a firearm related to drug trafficking activities.
Court documents reveal that Hall was found with pills containing approximately 37 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana, and a loaded nine-millimeter pistol with an extended magazine. At the time of the offense, he was on probation for previous charges involving a firearm and marijuana possession from April 2023 in Woodbury County.
Upon completing his prison term, Hall will serve four years under supervised release. Federal sentences do not include parole options.
The announcement came from United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal of the Southern District of Iowa. The investigation was conducted by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
