The West Jordan Judicial Nominating Commission has announced five nominees for a justice court judge position in West Jordan, Utah. This vacancy arises as Judge Ron Kunz prepares to retire in January.
The nominees are Matthew Brass, J.D., an attorney residing in Farmington; Mark Flores, J.D., Jennifer Foresta, J.D., and Ryan N. Holtan, J.D., all attorneys based in Salt Lake City; and Chelsey A. McHugh, J.D., an attorney from Taylorsville.
A comment period is open until December 27, 2024. Following this period, Dirk Burton, the Mayor of West Jordan, will have 30 days to make his selection from the candidates. The chosen nominee must be ratified by the West Jordan City Council.
