A Boston man, Vincent Lambert, has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine. The sentencing took place today in a Boston federal court. U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani also ordered five years of supervised release following the prison term.
Lambert, aged 41, pleaded guilty in June 2024 to three counts related to the distribution and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. His indictment by a federal grand jury occurred in June 2023.
The case against Lambert began in August 2022 when he was identified as a supplier of crystal meth by a cooperating source. Subsequently, Lambert distributed varying amounts of the drug on three occasions: 24 grams on February 15, 2023, in Boston; 110 grams on March 2, 2023, in Cambridge; and another 83 grams on April 4, 2023, in Dorchester.
A search conducted at Lambert's residence on June 7, 2023, resulted in the seizure of multiple drugs including over one kilogram of crystal meth and other substances such as butanediol, fentanyl, ketamine, cocaine, and MDMA.
Lambert's criminal history includes previous convictions for drug-related offenses. In West Roxbury District Court in 2017, he received an 18-month sentence. In Cambridge District Court in 2019 and later that year in Suffolk Superior Court, he was sentenced to one year and then between three-and-a-half to five years respectively for additional drug charges.
The announcement regarding Lambert's sentencing was made by Acting United States Attorney Joshua S. Levy alongside Stephen Belleau from the Drug Enforcement Administration's New England Field Division. Assistant U.S. Attorney Samuel R. Feldman prosecuted the case.
