A Norfolk man, Tramaine Waldell Riddick, has been sentenced to 10 years and 11 months in prison for distributing para-fluorofentanyl and possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. The sentencing took place on December 13.
Court documents reveal that on December 28, 2023, Riddick sold heroin and an AK47 rifle with a magazine and ammunition from his residence. This transaction was part of a controlled purchase by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Chesapeake Police Department (CPD).
In subsequent controlled purchases during January and February, Riddick sold more heroin, firearms, including one stolen firearm, ammunition, and a machinegun conversion device. Tests confirmed the substances he sold contained heroin, para-fluorofentanyl, fentanyl, and xylazine. He was attributed with distributing or intending to distribute significant quantities of fentanyl and cocaine.
On April 9, law enforcement searched Riddick's home again recovering additional firearms and ammunition.
