U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross has announced that Corey Beasley, a 39-year-old resident of West Seneca, New York, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for the receipt of child pornography. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Caitlin M. Higgins, who managed the prosecution, explained that Beasley had taken sexually explicit photographs involving himself and a minor female using his cellphone in June 2022. The case came to light in January 2023 when a police officer from West Seneca received a report regarding these images found on Beasley's tablet.
Following this report, search warrants were executed at Beasley's home where investigators seized several electronic devices. A forensic analysis of his cellphone revealed multiple sexually explicit images of the minor victim along with other child pornography content that Beasley had received and possessed.
The investigation leading to this sentencing was conducted by the West Seneca Police Department under Chief Edward Baker's leadership and Homeland Security Investigations led by Special Agent-in-Charge Erin Keegan.
