Four individuals have been charged with federal robbery and firearm offenses following a reported heist at an electronics equipment company in Chicago. The indictment was issued by the U.S. District Court in Chicago, naming Kahdaffie Green, Jahjuan Green, Chaqwon Birden, and Marquise Ramyyeh as the accused.

According to the indictment, on December 6, 2023, the four men allegedly conspired to rob Meade Electrical Company located on Chicago's South Side. They reportedly wore hoods and ski masks while brandishing firearms during the robbery, taking a RIDGID camera and a Digitrak locator box from employees.

The charges against them include robbery conspiracy and brandishing firearms during a crime of violence. Additionally, Kahdaffie Green and Marquise Ramyyeh face charges for illegally possessing firearms as they are previously convicted felons.

Arraignments for the defendants are set for January 2, 2025, before U.S. District Judge Rebecca R. Pallmeyer in Chicago federal court.

The announcement of the indictment was made by Morris Pasqual, Acting United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois; Douglas S. DePodesta, Special Agent-in-Charge of the FBI’s Chicago Field Office; and Larry Snelling, Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily C.R. Vermylen will represent the government in this case.

Support in this investigation was provided by ATF’s Crime Gun Intelligence Center (CGIC) in Chicago—a collaborative hub focused on tackling gun violence across northern Illinois by uniting various law enforcement entities under one roof to efficiently investigate and prosecute violent crimes.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a Department of Justice initiative aimed at addressing violent crime issues through coordinated efforts among law enforcement agencies and community leaders. In Illinois' Northern District, PSN has been employed to combat various violent crimes with a focus on firearm-related offenses.

It is important to note that an indictment does not equate to guilt; all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt in a court of law. The minimum penalty for brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence is seven years imprisonment, potentially extending up to life sentences. The robbery conspiracy charge could result in up to 20 years imprisonment while illegal possession of a firearm by felons may lead to up to 15 years behind bars.
