David L. Reynolds, a 42-year-old resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has been sentenced to 144 months in prison by United States District Court Chief Judge Holly A. Brady. This follows his guilty plea to charges of distributing controlled substances, as announced by United States Attorney Clifford D. Johnson.

Reynolds will also serve five years of supervised release after completing his prison term. Court documents reveal that Reynolds distributed over 50 grams of methamphetamine and less than 40 grams of fentanyl in August 2023.

The investigation into Reynolds' activities was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Fort Wayne Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stacey Speith.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), an initiative that unites various levels of law enforcement with communities to combat violent crime and gun violence, aiming to enhance neighborhood safety. On May 26, 2021, the Department launched a strategy to reduce violent crime through PSN, focusing on fostering community trust and legitimacy, supporting organizations that prevent violence, setting strategic enforcement priorities, and measuring outcomes.
