Timothy Wyllie, a 60-year-old resident of Granger, Indiana, has been sentenced to 121 months in prison. The sentence was handed down by United States District Court Judge Cristal C. Brisco following Wyllie's guilty plea to charges of possessing child pornography. This announcement was made by United States Attorney Clifford D. Johnson.

Wyllie's sentence includes 15 years of supervised release after his prison term. Court documents reveal that in April 2023, Wyllie was released from prison after serving nearly 20 years for previous convictions related to state child molestation and federal distribution of child pornography. Shortly after his release, while under federal supervised release and state parole, he engaged in illegal activities again by uploading and downloading numerous files containing child sexual abuse material.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation into this case, which was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Hannah T Jones and Joseph P. Falvey.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in 2006 aimed at protecting children from exploitation and abuse. The project brings together resources from federal, state, and local levels to apprehend and prosecute offenders while also identifying and rescuing victims.
