A federal jury in Orlando, Florida, has convicted Jordan Franklin Trexler of enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity and producing child sexual abuse material. Trexler, aged 30 from Casselberry, faces a potential life sentence in federal prison. His sentencing is set for March 12, 2025.
The trial revealed that Trexler groomed a 14-year-old victim through social media, offering her marijuana and later meeting her in person. After intoxicating the victim, he sexually abused her. Over two weeks, they exchanged messages about future meetings and sexual activities. They met almost nightly during this period. On one occasion, Trexler recorded his abuse of the victim and produced an explicit image while she was asleep.
The investigation involved the Federal Bureau of Investigation Tampa Division - Orlando Resident Agency, Oviedo Police Department, Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, and Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Assistant United States Attorneys Kaley Austin-Aronson and Stephanie McNeff are prosecuting the case.
This conviction is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative by the Department of Justice since May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project involves federal, state, and local efforts to prosecute offenders and rescue victims. More information can be found at www.justice.gov/psc.
