On National App Day, Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody has urged residents to utilize the Florida Crime Stoppers App to aid law enforcement in tackling crime. The app is designed for anonymous tip submissions regarding crime incidents or unsolved cases. From November 1, 2023, through October 1, 2024, it received a total of 3,386 tips.

Attorney General Moody stated, “On National App Day, I’m encouraging Floridians to help law enforcement combat crime by downloading the Florida Crime Stoppers App. This public-safety tool allows users to provide tips about unsolved cases anonymously — no names, no personal details — just the information that law enforcement needs to advance investigations and protect the community. Tipsters who provide information through the app that helps law enforcement make an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.”

The app facilitates anonymous reporting of crimes throughout Florida. Users can select their location from a list of cities and counties after downloading the app. They then choose the type of crime and submit details about suspects and offenses. Successful tips leading to arrests may result in cash rewards for tipsters.

To report tips using the Florida Crime Stoppers App or by dialing **TIPS, individuals can download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play by searching "Florida Crime Stoppers" or via the Florida Association of Crime Stoppers website.

In case of emergencies, residents are advised to call 911.
