Attorney General Lynn Fitch joined a coalition of 30 current and future state attorneys general in urging the United States Senate toswiftly confirm Pam Bondi as the 87th United States Attorney General.

"Pam is anexceptional leader and I know she will serve our country exceedingly well."In a letter to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Minority LeaderMitch McConnell, and Minority Whip John Thune the coalition writes, “Manyof us have worked with Attorney General Bondi, and we have witnessedfirsthand her legal acumen, her passion for justice, and her steadfastcommitment to the rule of law. And equally as important, we have found her tobe fair-minded, impartial, and collegial. In short, she is a superb choice to serveour nation and the public interest.” “During the worst days of the opioid crisis, she demonstrated extraordinaryleadership, working with the Florida Legislature to shut down pill mills,initiating litigation to hold bad actors accountable, and taking many otheractions designed to curb drug abuse, including championing bans on syntheticdrugs.
