Attorney General Todd Rokita has issued a warning to Indiana residents about consumer protection concerns related to product recalls announced in November. The Attorney General's office is advising consumers to take action on recalled items, which may involve returning, fixing, disposing of, or replacing products that could pose risks.
"The holidays should be a time of togetherness, not a time to worry about defected products," stated Attorney General Rokita. "Hoosiers need to know if purchased items are flawed or have the potential to hurt them or their families."
The Consumer Product Safety Commission has identified several consumer products recalled during November. Consumers who suspect they have purchased a recalled item are urged to stop using it immediately and check the recall notice for specific instructions. These instructions will guide consumers on how to return the product, get it fixed, dispose of it properly, receive a refund, or obtain a replacement.
For information on recalls issued before November, consumers can visit the Consumer Protection Safety Commission website.
